A message from Chris Daley – Southern Counties Regional Coach.
Following our conversation earlier today I give you a better idea of how I would like our squad sessions to work.
I want to make sessions almost by invitation only, so boxers and club who attend their association squads would be invited and would be eligible to represent our region, almost like a reward and a step up and continuation to the work they do at association squad sessions.
This in my opinion will give up a much better platform to encourage club and boxers to attend the sessions.
I know this has probably been tried before, but we need to put a bit of a structured approach to what we do.
Just to use squads as a means of sparring is in my opinion not the way forward.
But hopefully you’ve got an idea of what I plan to do.
